The Red-breasted Robin
The feathered face of Christmas. These cheeky, fluffy little guys are always a joy to see during the colder winter months.
Did you know that the robin’s so-called ‘red breast’ is actually orange. But this wasn’t recognised as a named colour in English until the 16th century when fruit of the same name started to be imported – so red was as close as anyone could get. And since then, red-breasted robin had stuck.
This is an original wildlife art piece that will be sold mounted and framed.
For unframed, limited edition giclee prints, please see the 'Red-breasted Robin Giclee Print' in Shop.
