In March 2024 I embarked on an Artist Residency in the Laikipia Region of Kenya. I spent the following 3 months exploring the wonders of the Lolldaiga Hills Conservancy and capturing the diverse wildlife that enhabited the area.
Spending so much time with the guides at the camp it was only right to paint them at some point! This is Ole Marti, he is Maasai and always wore his traditional, beaded bracelets under his camp uniform (as well as that infectious grin!) reminding me of his heritage regardless of his whereabouts. This view was one I experienced plenty from the back of a safari landrover!
This is an original portrait art will be sold framed and mounted in a simple black frame.
