In March 2024 I embarked on an Artist Residency in the Laikipia Region of Kenya. I spent the following 3 months exploring the wonders of the Lolldaiga Hills Conservancy and capturing the diverse wildlife that enhabited the area.
This striking bird was the first in a trilogy of drawings dedicated to raising awareness of the unprecedented decline in migratory bird population. The Eurasian Oriole is unmissable in the bush with a brilliant flash of yellow and contrasting black markings.
