In March 2024 I embarked on an Artist Residency in the Laikipia Region of Kenya. I spent the following 3 months exploring the wonders of the Lolldaiga Hills Conservancy and capturing the diverse wildlife that enhabited the area.
Although small, this brightly coloured bird was the final of a trilogy of drawings dedicated to raising awareness of the unprecedented decline in migratory bird population. The Eurasian BeeEater is an exquisite sight in the bush and is easily distinguishable with its rainbow exterior.
